Also, the Perfection V350 Photo features a distinctive auto Film Loader AFL built into the top of the scanner cover for effortless film scanning of 35mm film strips, up to six frames at a time. If your closets are filled with shoeboxes full of negatives, you’ll find the AFL an invaluable tool for scanning big amounts of negative strips. Users may also scan film with a conventional film holder and the fitted transparency adapter.
The Perfection V350 also introduces a new feature Digital Dust Correction technology. It’s a more intelligent tool that automatically detects and removes unwanted dust particles from scans while maintaining the honesty of the original image. Many dust elimination technologies apply detection to the whole image, which can mistakenly remove vital details that resemble dust or debris. Epson’s solution separates a picture into different regions those with many image elements and those with not many image elements and works to take off defects only in the clearer regions. In this manner, dust is removed from only those regions where it could be most observable, minimizing the risk that real image content could erroneously be deleted.
